A home is a small ceremony.
“The right glass doesn’t just hold a drink, it enhances it. The right room doesn’t just hold a life, it shapes one. Begin there; the rest follows.”
Pours and Projects Co. is built on the belief that the small decisions are the important ones. The weight of a rocks glass. The morning light in a kitchen. The runner on a counter, the taupe on a wall.
We do two things, slowly and with care. The Pours is a small menu of cocktails, mocktails, and recipes for the evenings. The Projects is a quiet design practice for the rooms that hold them, worked out one room at a time, in your taste and your budget.
The work, and the reason.
The Projects is the work, and the main thing we’re hired for: room-by-room design that turns your photos, measurements, and budget into a clear visual direction and a brief of real, shoppable product links. The Pours is the reason it has a soul: the cocktails, mocktails, and recipes we started with, gathered into digital books and a monthly recipe for members. Start with a drink. Stay for the room.
Five small tenets,
and not much else.
Pours and Projects Co. holds that hosting and homemaking are the same quiet art, practiced at different scales. These are the convictions the house keeps.
-
i.
Begin with the vessel.
Before the spirit, before the ice. Before the paint, before the fixtures. Start at the right small thing.
-
ii.
Make less, make it well.
A short menu. A small client list. Five projects a year, not fifty.
-
iii.
Keep the rooms quiet.
Soft taupe walls, warm woods, brushed gold. Light that earns its place, music turned low.
-
iv.
Organic over invented.
Linen over plastic, stone over laminate, growth over glamour. The house should age, not date.
-
v.
Write things down.
Mood boards, notebooks, margin notes. A practice, not a performance.
A house, a habit.
Pours and Projects Co. began at a kitchen counter on a slow Sunday. A martini in the wrong glass. A kitchen that was almost, but not quite, right. Two small frustrations, both worth solving.
It grew into a practice: a way of working that treats the cocktail and the kitchen as the same problem at different scales; a question of vessels, of light, of weight in the hand. We are still very small, still very deliberate, and very glad you are here.
Not sure where to begin?
Most rooms don’t need everything; they need a few right decisions. The Aesthetic Assessment is the way into The Projects: tell us about your space, your taste, and your budget, and we’ll point you toward the changes that move your room the most. It’s free and takes less than ten minutes.
